Cortinarius largus Big-Bellied Webcap

Cortinarius largus produces robust fruiting bodies which are blue-violet when young but become more brown in the cap with age. It is found in Beech woodland, often clustered together in groups. It is probably widespread in West Glamorgan but there are relatively few records of it.
