Galerina atkinsoniana

A.H. Sm.

A fairly distinctive moss bell with a strongly striated cap. It is similar to Galerina vittiformis but has larger spores (10 microns or more in length) and lots of pileocystidia in its cap (see photo). It has been recorded in mossy beds on coastal grasslands and sand dunes in West Glamorgan.
