Schreb.
A common, perennial willowherb which is found in damp or wet places but also in drier ruderal habitats such as urban waste places, pavements and the edges of forest tracks. Its stems and leaves are clothed in grey, woolly hairs which give it a distinctive hoary, grey-green appearance. Its flowers have four-lobed stigmas and notched pink petals that vary from pale to deep pink in colour. It is mostly a plant of the lowlands and it is common throughout most of Britain and Ireland, but less frequent in Scotland. It is widespread in West Glamorgan.
