Hypericum hircinum Stinking Tutsan

A partially evergreen, shrubby St John's-wort with a much-branched, four-angled stem and a strong, unpleasant smell said to resemble that of a he-goat. The yellow flowers usually have 3 styles.  It is native to the Mediterranean, southern Europe and Asia but widley grown in gardens outside its native range. It occurs widely as a naturalised species in Britain but it is rarely found far from gardens. There are scattered records of it in urban areas of West Glamorgan.
