(Klett & Richt.) Hartl
This subspecies of Ivy-leaved Speedwell grows in partially shaded habitats such as in open woodland, woodland edges and hedgebanks where it may be native. It has been recorded in woodland and hedgerow habitats in Gower much more than elsewhere in the county but it is probably widespread in these habitats throughout. More sytematic recording is required for clarity on its distribution. It differs from Veronica hederifolia ssp. hederifolia in its apical leaf lobes which are longer than wide, its longer fruit stalks (up to 7 times longer than the sepals) and its more pale lilac coloured flowers.
