A small orange-red waxcap, which grows in unimproved and coastal grasslands, e.g. in mossy beds on sand dunes. Its spores are a pear-shaped and frequently constricted in the middle (see photo). It is a fairly uncommon species in West Glamorgan but it is easy to overlook.
