Carex acutiformis Lesser Pond-sedge

Lesser Pond-sedge, is a sedge of swamps, fens and wet meadows (e.g floodplane meadows), often growing with Greater Pond-sedge (Carex riparia) with which it can be confused.  It is widely distributed in suitable habitats in West Glamorgan but non-flowering vegetative stands often go unrecorded.
