Klotz
A small shrub which is the hybrid between two diploid, outbreeding cotoneasters, Tibetan Cotoneaster (Cotoneaster conspicuus), which has very small leaves similar to Small-leaved Cotoneaster (Cotoneaster microphyllus) and Bearberry Cotoneaster (Cotoneaster dammeri); both 2n=34. The native ranges of the parents do not overlap and the hybrid is known only in cultivation. There are many cultivated forms., e.g. 'Skogholm' and 'Coral Beauty' which are commonly planted in amenity areas, retail parks and industrial estates. There are scattered records from West Glamorgan.
