Drosera intermedia Oblong-leaved Sundew

Similar to Great Sundew (Drosera anglica) but the flower stalk is somewat curved at its base and not much longer than the leaves. The oblong leaves distinguish it immediately from the more common  Round-leaved Sundew (Drosera rotundifolia). It has a distinct western distribution in Britain and it is occasional but often very local on wet heaths and bogs, often on floating rafts of Sphagnum or in bog pools. It is scarce in West Glamorgan with some locally frequent populations in Gower, e.g. Harding's Down; (rediscovered there by BS in 2026), but was probably more widespread in suitable habitats elsewhere in the past.
