Erophila glabrescens Glabrous Whitlowgrass

Very similar to Common Whitlow-grass (Erophila verna s.l.) and occurs in similar habitats (including dunes) but not as common and not easy to separate from it. However, it is less hairy and has long leaf stalks which are 1.5-2.5 times as long as the leaf blades. It apears to have a scattered distribution in Britain but it is probabaly under recorded. There are few records of it currently in West Glamorgan. It is a polyploid taxon (2n=48-56).
