Hypericum olympicum

L.

An evergreen, dwarf shrub which is native to Greece and the Balkans and commonly grown in gardens. It was first found in the wild in Britain in Oxfordshire in 1981. It self-sows itself on walls, pavements and skeletal or sandy waste places and may be slowly expalanding its range, perhaps in response to climate change. There are few records of it in West Galmorgan but a well established plant was found by BS on Porteynon Dunes, Gower, in 2023.
