Malva neglecta Dwarf Mallow

A prostrate, branched, sprawling, annual mallow with pale purple flowers. It grows in open dusturbed habitats on waste ground or on roadsides and tracks often in urban areas near houses where it is free of competition from more vigorous species. Although it is found throughout much of southern Britain it is rather scarce and casual in Wales and mostly coastal in its distribution. It is rare in West Glamorgan where thee have been few recent records.
