Pinus x schwerinii Schwerin's Pine

A cone-producing hybrid between eastern White Pine (PInus strobus) and Himalayan White-pine (Pinus wallichinana). It has pale green foliage with silvery unersides. One of its cultivars, 'Wiethorst', is a slow-growing conifer which is grown in gardens and sometimes available as a Christmas tree. There are no reports of it as a naturalised species in West Glamorgan.
