Symphoricarpos x chenaultii Pink Snowberry

An arching shrub with rows of oval, opposite leaves which are hairy on their lower sides. It is the hybrid between Symphoricarpos microphyllus and Symphoricarpos orbiculatus (Coralberry) and is often confused with the latter. It is used in hedging along roadsides and in industrial and retail parks and is able to naturalise itself by rooting from stem tips, or very rarely from seed. It produces small white, fleshy fruits which are usually flushed with pink spots.
