(Schreb.) Norman
A crustose lichen with a creamy or grey thallus that is cracked and which produces cup-like apothecia with deep set rims and black discs. It grows on siliceous rocks and may be under recorded in West Glamorgan where there are a few scattered records in coastal and inland sites.
