Hieracium grandidens Grand-toothed Hawkweed

A  hawkweed belonging to the the Hieracium exotericum group in Section Hieracium. It has distinctive basal leaves with large that have a distinct nipple (mammiform) teeth and acute phyllaries with dense glandular hairs, but few stellate hairs. It is probably spreading in many parts of Britain, especially in stony easte ground, railways and othger distubed habitats. It is becoming increasingly common at the edges of forest roads in Neath Port Talbot, especielly those that have been dressed with grit.
