Sorbaria sorbifolia Sorbaria

(L.) A. Braun

A small deciduous shrub with a dense head of white flowers, similar to a bridewort (Spiraea species), but with attractive pinnate leaves with up to 11 leaflets. It is a popular garden plant and will sucker vigorously. If thrown out of gardens, it can establish itself on walls and in waste ground. Widespread as a garden plant in West Glamorgan but not yet recorded as a naturalised species.
